Black and Orange Muffintop Hat
|

|
This cute hat is called a muffintop, because of the padded crown. A sturdy straw based has been draped in vintage silk velvet, and the crown is orange satin topped with a sheer black scroll patterned voile. The trimmings are vintage cotton velvet roses and iridescent orange/gold satin ribbons. I've added some black hackle feathers and a pouf of antique burnt eigrette feathers to finish of the Victorian / Edwardian look.
22 inch inside crown, 2.5 inch brim.

Big chunky rainbow fluorite nuggets alternating with smaller fluorite rondelles on a sterling silver handmade chain. The colors on these are the best I've ever seen on fluorite, and the shimmering rainbows inside will remind you of moonstone or labradorite.
