I saw these little brooch blanks, and I knew immediately that I had to have them! These great little vintage stock fly (or bee) pins have been hand painted, and then filled with tiny watch gears and then lacquered to seal it all in. Watch out for the little stinger, it's sharp! I've made several of these, but no two are exactly alike. You will receive the exact fly pictured here. One inch long.

This little pin is only an inch and a half across, but look at that detail! The base is the most beautiful solid brass antique button, topped with a vintage pocket watch gear. Safety clutch back pin.

This was an incredibly complicated piece to make. The back plate is the base of an old pocket watch. On top of that I added a carved bone "face" cabochon, and surrounded the edge with lots of tiny little watch parts. A few gears were added here and there and then the whole thing was sealed in several coats of clear lacquer for a snag-free finish. The pin measures approximately two inches across at the widest point.
