These cufflinks are made out of some really wonderful buttons that I found at an estate sale. They have a blue-green patina over brass. I though that they were the perfect size for a cufflink and tie tack set. The cufflinks measure 3/4 of an inch across, and the tie tack is 1/2 inch across.
I wish I knew the story behind these buttons, they are so fabulous!
